20 Questions

Someday we're going to get a minivan that has a built-in DVD player... but until that blessed day arrives, we have to come up with ways to entertain our kids while we're driving in the car. One of our favorite car games lately is 20 Questions. Here are a few highlights from this week's game:

Me: "Okay... I'm thinking of someone. Ask a question."

Colin: "Is it a boy?"

Me: "Yes."

Colin: "Is it a kid?"

Me: "No. It's someone really, really, really old."

Colin (yelling and very excited because he's sure he has the right answer): "It's Dad!"

(The answer was supposed to be Santa Claus.)

--

Now it's Colin's turn and we've established that the person he's thinking of is a boy, is a teenager, and doesn't live in Georgia.

Quinn: "Is he pretend?"

Colin: "He's real and pretend."

Me (because I know where this is going): "Is it Ben 10?"

Colin: "Yes!!!"

Quinn (bothered and whiny): "Colinnnn! Ben 10 is on a TV show!"

Colin: "Ben 10 is really real! Mom, tell her! Ben 10 really is real!"

--

And one last one...

Colin: "Okay, what's your question?"

Mom: "Is it a boy?"

Colin: "Yes!"

Quinn: "Is he old?"

Colin: "I don't know if he's old or a kid...?"

Mom: "Does he go to our church?"

Colin: "No, but he's always all around us all the time."

Quinn: "Is is Jesus?"

Colin: "Yes!"

So cute!! I love Colly-Olly. And my favorite part is when Quinny said, "Collinnnnnn," because I can just hear her saying it.

I am laughing so hard I have real tears coming out of my eyes! (or are they pretend tears. . .I'm not sure!) :) Ha! Ha! Your 20 questions sound a lot like ours. So cute!

Cute! I'm getting sick of "I spy" we're going to have to give 20 questions a try.

This is GREAT! I was just getting ready to email you to see if you had a blog where I could spy.

Your kids are darling! And funny! Ben 10 is a big part of our house right now too.

You'll have to back-track in Jared's blog to November (I think). He wrote a post about high school. It was really funny.

I can't believe you have been blog stalking me all this time and you never mentioned that you had a blog!!! I am glad to see it. You have some cute kids. I love the things kids say. I wish I worked less and got to be with my girl more. I also love that you are dreaming of a minivan. We can't wait to have a Chrysler Town and Country parked in our driveway. People out here can be really anti-minivan. They are so nice, though. Hope all is well for you and your family way over there. Later.
